BIO

I started my studies in music as early as 10 years of age in the island of Puerto Rico as a member of the elementary school choir and also played the soprano recorder flute. At age 12 I became a music student at Escuela Libre de Musica Ernesto Ramos Antonini where I selected cello as my lifetime instrument while observing an orchestra concert presentation. Was attracted and drawn to the large instrument after discovering its mystical, profound and versatile quality of sound.

In 1993, during my cello performance training, I was introduced to the sounds of the viola da gamba. My technical skills got me recruited to perform as a bass viol musician for the Shakespeare play "A Comedy of Errors" which was hosted by the Orlando Shakespeare Festival. During those years I was awarded the Kathleen Sheridan Award and was also one of five young musicians selected to perform in a Masterclass from the world’s leading cellist Yo-Yo-Ma. I later traveled abroad furthering my studies in Classical and Baroque cello while getting influenced by contemporary styles.

In 1998 after graduation from Florida State University, I decided to travel to Madrid Spain where I had the privilege to study

cello performance with Maria de Macedo. Mrs. Macedo is a highly respected cello instructor who assisted former legendary recording artist Janos Starker and Pierre Fournier with coaching promising future talent to success in the field. Later, after coming back from Madrid, I ventured and had the audacity to reside in Las Vegas, Nevada. There I spent eight long productive and busy years developing local cello students by way of private lessons and rehearsing and performing with the Henderson Symphony Orchestra. My experience in classical repertoire lead me to establish string quartets using fun classical-modern repertoire for wedding and party type of events. While in Las Vegas I also had the honor to meet and help Mr. Jerry Brookings in recruiting talented string instrument players for his jazz band. With Mr. Brookings (from Michael Jackson's Jackson 5), I learned to appreciate playing cello to the sounds of Motown and jazz.

Back in Orlando Florida, in more recent years, I was one of the three pit orchestra cellists selected to perform the premier of Beauty and the Beast with the Orlando Ballet with newly composed music by Arcadian Broad and internationally acknowledged concert pianist, composer and conductor Julian Bond.

I am also live on the Christian Television Network Channel performing at the River Church, a Christian service called "The Stand" which is broadcasted worldwide from Tampa, Florida. As a performer I have been rated the full five starts for top performer on Gig Salad. I'm also a cellist from Musicos Unidos also known as Chordae SoliDeo. Chordae SoliDeo headquarters from country of Chile and offers free worship and classical online concerts broadcasted from their own You Tube channel.

I consider myself as a visionary performing artist and educator who provides quality of work and enjoy producing new talent for the entertainment world.  Available as a background musician, willing to provide beautiful solo cello entertainment for most type of events.

I hold a Master of Science in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Music from the Florida State University, trained and experienced in classical performance for over three decades. Have been awarded the Valedictorian, Courses Director Award for my Final Project Business Plan Development and the Highest Academic Achievement Award at Full Sail University.
